Guten abend fellows,
Hope you all had a great start to the week.
Recently, I have been considering to expand my collection to be based upon the theme "Made in Germany".
As a result, one watch that has been in my mind for a while now is the Senator Rattrapante in Platinum.
If i am not mistaken, this was executed in a LE of 100 pieces back in 1997.
If i so choose to pull on this piece, there is one apparently left available in the world, ( as in Brand new from an AD)
But, i would like to hear more from fans, and especially those lucky few who are already owners of this particular piece.
The rose gold version which was launched last year would probably be on alot of people's wrist by now, although not that much im sure.
Would any of you care to share live photos of this piece?
I have handled the RG piece a few times already, but you know, one cannot be so sure as Pt and RG are 2 vastly different materials, and while the movement in both pieces are the same, i'm sure the "feel" is different.
So guys, help me out here!
I look forward to hearing more!
Danke & Tschuss!
Stephen
then I can confirm that there is more than one available worldwide.
As you are a Lange fan, I think you need to moderate your expectations of the GO Rattrapante shuld you go for it which I think you will not be wrong in doing so. The movement of Rattrapante is well executed but in my opinion, not as well executed to my eye as say teh Dato or the double split. I can;t exppound techinically why this is. Maybe I'm just used to ogling at my Dato through the case back. The pushers on the Rattrapante are also no where as smooth as that of the Dato.
Now that said, I do believe that the Rattrapante is nonetheless an extremely well executed piece and of the 2 cases, I prefer the PT. First due to my affinity for PT and second as I find the RG iteration too colorful. Just personal preference on my part.
Do let us know what you eventually decide to choose. The Go Rattrapante against many many other similar complications from other makes is at least as good imo. Good luck and have fun deciding.
Well that's what the boutique here told me, and apparently they had to go through all the trouble to search for it!
ANyways, yes, i do know that I cannot expect the GO to be on par with a Lange ( although im sure many on the forums might actually say otherwise, especially if they are GO die hard fans), I had the opportunity to play with the piece before, and i agree with you about the pushers. The reset function though is amusing as you can see the hands "bouncing" when it reaches zero and stabilizes.
Naturally, if i do go for this it will be the Pt version, so im with you on this.
Thanks and will let you fellows know with my decision!
Cheers
Stephen

Have never seen this one's back before!
Danke Andreas!
Stephen
Although only in photos! But ARt, you are getting me hooked!
I am still fairly new to GO, and don't know much about it as I do Lange.
The question is, is this model you are introducing to me the all important Hand-wound?!
And i doubt i could find this NIB at an AD anymore? It looks like not a recent model to me?
But interesting, indeed being Blue and Platinum!
Yes please, if another has photos of the Pt Senator Rattrapante, please do share!
Cheers
Stephen
More of me respecting and holding to the true facet of haute horlogerie from the past.
Although the technical side, well i guess i just cant stand the sight of a rotor, full, micro, or hidden!
Cheers
Stephen

but with finishing like this, sometimes I wish they would do away with it altogether.
Lange and the such.
But you are correct, because like for Lange, since they say they decorate even the hidden parts, i wonder aloud as well, why keep them hidden when you'v done such a good job?
But then again, just like their founder Ferdinand Adolf Lange, modesty and humility is supreme.
Cheers
Stephen
Objectively i would say it is a beauty, but subjectively and personally i know i can never pull on an auto ever again.
Thanks for the photo!
Stephen

Very nice info indeed regarding the Pano!
Oh how i wish my character wasnt this way!
But it is!

The CG photos are very good indeed! Vielen Danke!
Well, as for the piece of info about only one left, that is what i'v been told from the Tokyo Boutique, obviously i think they cannot pull a piece that is already at an AD, so maybe this is the last one left at the manufacture?
In anycase, thank you for your input, and I shall see where it goes from here!
This is very tempting, because while movement wise it isnt as well finished ( almost) like a Datograph, but at least in terms of size it does pass my criterion about this ( equal to or above 40mm), and it's kinda like a semi between the dato and the double split from Lange.
Oh how i wish the times were better!
You are right about the Onyx in the crown though, makes it handle slightly inferior maybe?
Tschuss!
Stephen
Guten Abend Stephen,
I've found some offered on the internet. Please contact me for the website.
There are some real Photos. I think the third one is a new one. The stone at the crown is typical for all
Pt modells from GO. I guess the finish is comparable as a ALS Dato (btw. I wear mine today
)
Since I've seen it in real at the Basel Fair I fell in love with this watch. Unfortunately the resale-value is falling down. But If this is not a problem for you, you should pull the trigger.
Best regards and Viele Gruesse from Germany
