...especially the hand wound ones with discontinued movements. I'd been chasing this one for quite a long time and never dreamed of finding a pink gold one since it was limited to 25 pieces. By chance I found the last one in Wempe two months ago. Imagine how excited I was. I think it is a gorgeous piece with top quality finish and the beautiful cal. 49. So this is the story of how it appeared into my collection. By the way, I also admire high-end German chronos and next to my Lange 1815 chrono and this one, I hope to add a Hanhart Opus 41 (if I can afford) in the near future.

...there is no written information about the exact size of the case but my rough measurement shows something like 38.5 mm in diameter and 12+ mm in height. Diameter of the movement is 32.2 mm; and height is 7.1 mm (these are from the booklet).

I like the SS version, but it never 'moved' me. This is really strikingly beautiful. (and I am not an RG kind of guy, so... even more of a compliment!)

BTW, I was about to buy a pre-owned SS model untill I discovered the pink gold sleeping in Wempe's safe. And when I saw it in flesh, I truly fell in love with it.
