. . . which is the first instance to my knowledge of the use of any non-metallic substance for case construction from G O. The matte black case, dial, aperture backgrounds, black calfskin strap and matching black ceramic buckle combine to create a subdued appearance that should be very light on the wrist. Even the aperture frames are matte black, with only a touch of red to indicate the leap year - very stealthy indeed! The cal 100-07 movement is unchanged from the current steel and gold Senators, and offers a 55 hour power reserve along with the characteristic ability to set time without interrupting the operation of the balance. This is the first GO that I've been interested in since I got my PanoReserve over 5 years ago. I hope the case is no bigger than 40mm.

So it should be 42mm.  Still quite large, but not as bad as 44mm.

It's listed as a Senator Perpetual Calendar, Ceramic.  It has the same hands as the rest of the Senator line, not the Navigator hands.
At least we can hope. . .

What I really hope is a typo is the case size of the Senator Chronometer.  If it's 40mm, I'll have to get one.  If it's 42mm as listed, I don't know.
That one is almost perfect otherwise.  Please tell me the listed size is an error!
Although, with all the innovations present, I suspect the price will be supersized as well!

My instincts tell me that even at the listed dimensions, the watch will work well with those of us who are wrist-challenged due to it's stealthy appearance . . . with respects, Art

I believe the senator cal 100 case is 40mm. I'm hoping that GO used the current Cal 100 senator case as a model for the ceramic perpetual. I'm sure the photo comparing the new pointer date senator to the ceramic perpetual isn't to scale but the case dimensions look rather similar.

Art...if it's ok with you, I will cling to the hope it's a 40mm case.

I was invited to an event at the Tourbillon boutique in South Coast Plaza tonight and got to try on the black ceramic Senator Perpetual.  It was fantastic.   At 43mm it is large, but the matte black dial seems to make it feel not so big.  Surprisingly light in the stainless steel version.  Overall, a great watch!

This caught my eye when I first saw it.  One doubt I have is whether a complication like a Perpetual Calender should don a casing as casual and informal as this.  Its probably personal preference and just me though.

Its nice but I guess I've somehow developed an impression of a Perpetual Calender encased in a precious metal of sorts and needing to come across in a more overstated manner than this particular Per cal.  Not sure if I saw the right pics of the movements but if yes, it also seems like not much work went into the aesthetics and finish.  I'm sure a lot of work did, it just didn't appear that way to me at least.

This would however be very nice for someone looking for an under the radar per cal.

. . . but employs an automatic cal 39 movement in a steel 40 mm Senator case; it's also the first instance to my knowledge of a cal 39 subsidiary seconds dial at the 9:00 position, not to mention the analog date display.

LIke it! Might have to be in my future. Very inovative design, yet vintage at same time.

. . . with polished and satin-finished surfaces, and employs a bi-compax version of the cal 39 automatic movement.

I have to see it in the flesh, but this blend of elegance and sportivity fills the bill for me!

or a white porcelain dial.  I'm starting to like this GO Senator Sixties Square chronograph a lot!  Can't wait to see this one in person.

. . . available with Trieste and rubber straps. The case is constructed of steel with an outer layer of rubber, which does not contribute to the already high level of shock resistance provided by the unique mounting of the movement; the rubberized case is strictly an aesthetic contribution to the design.

Well, at least to me!

Without writing on the bezel, I maye have been tempted.

The Symmetry of the dial is a big point on this strong black beauty.
