In this case, I feel that the wrist is the critical variable . . .

. . . because the Senator Navigator is, in my opinion, an almost unique design in that it has sizable dimensions but doesn't appear as large as it's nominal size due to it's deflective finish and densely printed dial, and is consequently the large watch of choice for guys with smaller than average wrists. I have an almost categorical disdain for large designs, but the Senator Navigator is one of the few exceptions to the rule. I would go with the studded strap for myself as the studs offer yet another focal point of visual interest, which further reduces the apparentness of the watch considered as a whole. Conversely, I would give the simpler strap the nod if I had a larger wrist to avoid having the visual balance swing the other way. In other words, both Bill and Ianny are right, even though they disagree with each other. It's not often that I get to sit on both sides of the fence ;-) . . . cordially, Art
You just clinched it for me. I've been trying to justify an IWC Big Pilot for my 6.75 inch wrist. Then I ran across the GO Nav. no-date. It may become my "BIG" watch. Good post.
