I'm really happy with this purchase (my second GO), bought used, but essentially unworn as far as I can tell, for what I consider to be a bargain price for what it is. Not the most exciting of designs perhaps, but it's classical(ish) elegance was just what I was looking for. The movement is beautifully finished and, apparently (but I don't claim to understand why), quite impressive technically. After a couple of weeks of wear it's still bang on accurate to the second, so I'm certainly happy with the results of that "technology"! At 40mm in diameter and 10mm thick it fits my seven and a quarter inch wrist really well, and is very comfortable.
The Senator Excellence is not a model we see everyday (why? I don’t know). Your “Pilot” version is nice and well-proportioned as you stated

I don’t know if this new movement is impressive technically (I think it’s a very good “update”) but it offers 100h of power reserve with only one barrel, a more efficient rotor and a silicon balance spring for instance.
All these new elements and several others have improved the accuracy of this watch which is pretty cool for me. The finishing is very nice too. To summarise, this GO offers a good value for money in my opinion.
Your macro shots are particularly nice by the way. What’s your other GO?
My pleasure. I own a PanoInverse XL (first version) but I would be tempted by the blue dial PanoMaticLunar. You made a great choice with the PanoReserve (especially the blue dial version). Do not hesitate to share few pics of it with us
A few in this Google Photos album, not very good, and I don't have time currently to process or link them directly here sorry: https://photos.app.goo.gl/2f6hDTyZhCYIOM8p2
I just love these "simple" time only watches that have so much balance going for it. The case design is nice and the detail on that seconds hand is superb.
Great catch - and certainly one I see being a daily wear very easily.
