I've been waiting since October for my tank, and it finally delivered today!

Here's a picture of the white cabinet stand and the custom 60 gallon sump inside.  The cabinet doors got scratched while loading into the truck on delivery, so they will be repainted and installed at a later date. 

The distance between my 2 windows is 6 feet, so I ordered a custom 180 gallon tank 6 feet wide x 2 feet tall x 2 feet deep to maximize the space  

3 guys showed up to do the install.  The gentleman in the black t-shirt is holding the bio pellet reactor for the tank.  The purpose of having a bio reactor is help remove nitrates and phosphates from the system which then helps prevent algae growth and harm to invertebrate and coral.

They haul in the tank.  It looks massive!!!  I paid extra for the starfire glass which is less "green" and more "white" for a cleaner look.

They install the 4 metal brackets which will be used to hold my Radion Pro LED's.

The Fiji pink sand fills the bottom of the tank.  I like this sand for its color and perfect thickness - not too fine and not too coarse.

I didn't have enough rock and I got too many shelf rock (those flat horizontal pieces), so I need to get more circular shaped rock to extend the aquascaping towards the glass.  Currently the aquascaping is towards the back of the tank.

It doesn't look too bad for what rock we had, so the guy did a great job IMO.  It'll look even better once I get more rock, so I can have more crevices and tunnels for fish to swim through.

Now they fill the tank with RODI saltwater pumped through my window.

Here's a side view of the tank right now.  Notice all the extra shelf rock stacked up.  We'll get that fixed when we get more base rock.

Looking good!  I really like the branch coral rock on the right.  I think I'll add 2 or 3 more of those and put them on the left side of the tank.

And below is the tank filled with water.  The debris from the rocks hasn't settled to the bottom yet, so it'll take overnight for the water to clear up.

I'll post another update once everything is setup!

Always wanted one myself, but I dun have the space to fit a tank that can take a manta ray !

I guess you are taking the hobby to the next level, congrats on the new tank.  With the LED's it should look pretty spectacular.  I wonder how long it takes for the water to be ok for the fish?

Since I bought brand new rock, it takes almost a month for the rocks to "cure" so once they do, then I can start adding fish.

So where do you store the fish until it's ready?  The old one looked empty.  Curious what kind of fish you will be adding, look forward to an update next month!  HAGWE AT
