ADM is now live!
Android Device Manager is live! 2 days ago I got the update but it didn't do anything as the app was inactive. In Settings go to Security and Device Administrators:
Android Device Manager is being pushed to everyone with AndroidOS 2.2+ so check if you got it:
This morning I got a nice surprise that ADM is now active!!! In the Google+ app, go to Android Device Manager:
Activate either Remote Locate or Remote Wipe or both:
On your desktop go here: https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager and login to your account. You'll see all your devices listed (the names will be the factory code but you can rename them). Let me know if you got the update and how you like ADM versus other similar products like Cerebus, Airdroid, AndroidLost, etc...

Sometimes updates are silently updated and you never know it's there! Did you active it?

They are supposed to add more options/functions rolling out in the near future...
Will update when these features become available. Don't forget to do a periodic Nandroid backup just in case you accidentally wipe your device.
