Guten morgan friends!
To continue on my sharings about my latest trip, I wonder what you all think about aircraft food?
This "cuisine" seems to be joked about often , i'v heard the most about it being able to "Kill you", lol. Havent you heard of this especially in the movies?
And of how bad it tastes and so on.
But for me personally, I would even dare say that I have this "fetish" ,to put it in a stronger term, for aircraft food since I was a young lad. I would remember how I would take mom's and sister's portion, cause they definitely would be put in the category of people who says that "it kills you", lol! Oh and I still do btw if I am travelling with them and they are seated right next to me.
Without further ado, here are a series of shots of almost ALL the food that I ate this time round. From the banquet in the sky types to the prison meal sort.
Guten Apetit!

They were all pretty good! As for my favourite, it had to be the duck that I had for lunch on the way home to Tokyo!

a vicarious gourmet tour of the skies! My outlook on airline food is changing after viewing these spreads. Of course, I rarely have the opportunity to fly Lufthansa but after viewing these meals, when possible I may do so for the food!

Indeed, quite a number of airlines do serve great food, and Lufthansa is definitely one of them.
Try taking a long hauled flight around christmas, they serve particularly food roasted Goose which is a traditional German christmas dish. I did once during a flight to Boston from Frankfurt many years ago, and the flavour still lingers in my mind and make my mouth water as soon as I think of it...
Cheers!

Hi, Stephen,
Good to see you back, and thank you for sharing your meals with us!
I hope that you have had a successful trip, and I am just curious to learn if you picked up any ticking souvenir during your trip...
On another note, I headed out to the Meadows Museum in Dallas, Tx last week and I came across a couple of items that I am sure you would appreciate. One is a sculpture called Blue Note from a Spanish artist called Xavier Corbero, and the other one is a Medal for Civil Merit awarded by the Spanish Crown to worthy citizens. It reminded me of the one you posted a while back on the Lange forum, and most importantly, your beautiful RL PLM.
Hope you have a great week!
All the best,
Alejandro
Ps. I have some photos of that museum visit, but somehow the photo uploader is acting up on me, so I will try to upload them later.
Thanks for the welcome back, it is great to be in touch with you guys again!
I would love to see the photos of the pieces that you mentioned about, and would wait in anticipation for them!
Unfortunately, I did not get any ticking souvenirs, although I bought many books about them, ( In German, because they have some of the best watch magazines in the world, and also to improve my own Deutsch
)
Have an awesome week ahead too!
Ciao ciao
Stephen
I am very happy to learn that you had a great time.
Hopefully the pictures will upload this time around.
Talk to you soon,
Alex
ps. Sorry for the quality of the pictures, as all I had was my phone with me.

Lufthansa is such an example of perfection ay?!
Just like our favourite Langes...
Lol, going to two lounges at once, are you on some kinda super priviledged program or what?!
But i'm grateful for them all, the ANA lounge here is quite bad actually, maybe that's because I usually go to the 1st class lounge of SQ in Singapore, where literally hundreds of people, including my mom, give praises about it.
The food, wines, facilities are all not unlike that of the Lufthansa 1st class terminal in Frankfurt, only that it doesnt have its own separate building.
Please give it a try one day soon bro!
Cheers

I was just eating Milka last weekend. I agree that the chocolate is very satisfying despite its simplicity. It's the super creamy texture that sets Milka over the top for me.Woo hooo, another Milka lover and appreciator!
I love this place!
Ciao
Stephen
Although as i said in my leading post, that I may be biased in my opinions as I love airline food!
Thanks for the warm welcome home, i'V missed you guys heaps and now am back!
Have a good week ahead!
Stephen
Glad to find another lover of Airline food!
High five!
Stephen

Sure thing, come along and probably i won't be eating at all cause i'll be talking just about watches with you!
Stephen
What an interesting post! Thank you for all the great photos. I'm more like you. Food is food. We're lucky to have it and I don't complain.
Indeed, all of them was very good, even the rice which was hard!
Stephen
I have no complaint about the food but I am surprised they don't serve Junmai Daiginjo.
I still prefer Asian Airline food and their service, no offence.
Regards
Ling
We each have our likes and dislikes, and i certainly respect them all!
Yea, the best they had was jyunmai ginjo, not the daiginjyo. Are you a Sake lover?
I sure am!
Thanks my friend, and have a great day!
Stephen
Yes. I am sake lover. Hope one day, we can drink good sake together either in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore or Japan.
Regards
Ling
I am very glad to find another sake lover friend then!
Indeed, in either of the 4 places you mentioned, or really to drink the best, YOU MUST COME HERE!
Cheers
