The jazz-funk pioneer whose hit “Everybody Loves the Sunshine” sounds as great today as when it was first released, has died aged 84.
I saw Roy and his band play many times in various Jazz clubs and have fond memories of spending an evening with him and the band… that’s a story for another day.
Farewell Roy !
