Here are two more pieces of Mr. G.
The first is a, gold of course, Omega Genève.
The Genève brand got a bad image because of the Genève is considered by many as a non chronometer (a.k.a. cheap) Constellation/Deville.
This may be true for the ones made at the end of the 1960's but this one is, IMHO, a great watch.
Notice the lugs and the hour markers. Very cool.
This one is a plain Omega. It's a redial? I think that Mr. G. would send Oddjob (see the movie) to take care of the redialer.
It's ... Elegant.

Aha Nilo, I think I can compete now......
that you're getting to the bottom of the barrel.
The original Geneve range was quite prestigious and second only to the Constellation but then in the 1960s was 'positioned' as the entry level Omega and as such it lost much of its appeal to collectors. This one of mine is 18kt Rose Gold with a gold dial and with a cal 491 automatic.
Nice to see Mr G has such good taste!!!

It was a weird marketing decision that Omega made downplaying the Genève brand.

Delicious Genève, Nilo. I found a reminiscent model . . .
. . . locally, albeit a slightly later version, fitted with a cal 562 calendar (non-quickset date) movement. Same markers, lugs, crosshair, and script - simply gorgeous.
. . . and a cropped close-up of the script.
Notice the differences? Flattened O, short middle bar in E, similarly squashed G, flat top A.
As for the 'generic', here's an image of a similar model that belongs to a dear friend of mine . . .

Almost certainly a refinished dial, albeit tastefully done.

You are preaching to the choir with those early Genève models. I own several of the larger versions, including two in steel. I have one in pink gold, though as I have no images of it yet, I'll share one that I used to own with a NOS dial.
