It's the vaunted precision of Omega movements fitted with the co-axial escapement (and free-sprung balance) that intrigues me, even more than the reputed long-term benefit of reduced friction and extended service intervals. The distinguishing characteristic of Daniel's escapement is that it's bi-directional, so I wonder if there's either an aspect of noise cancellation or mechanical correction that improves observable aspects of timing performance.
The accuracy of the co-axial annual calendar that I tested a few years ago . . .
