Hello everyone, I recently purchased this watch but unfortunately the bezel is missing. I really like this watch because it is a slight smaller than the regular speedmaster  and it fits me perfect. This watch is all original and came with bill of sale dated 1959 and the  warranty certificate booklet. It is manufactured in 1958. Is there anyway to get the silver bezel? Even an aftermarket bezel would do.  I suspect the bezel popped out quite some by knocking hard at 5 o'clock.  Any assistance is much appreciated.  Sorry for the duplicated pictures.

Omega still have bezels as far as i'm aware as i see them advertised on 'the big auction site' ocassionally so if you send it to them you should be able to get them to put one on. you wont get an aftermarket bezel for this fairly uncommon piece (relative to the later speedmasters).

if i were you i would search the internet site to see what comes up.

i'm not sure about the dial and chrono hands, the white font seems just too good and the hands should be steel not white, but these are only minor points. even if the dial has been refinished the lumed indices look original which i consider the most important.if its been to Omega for servicing in the past they are experts in replacing dials and hands when you dont want them to.

This is not the movement# but the caliber number which explains the type of movement and not the serial# - there should be an 8 digit number...

If you let us know the serial# we could help you to determine if the movement matches the case - but you may find it in your papers anyway - if the number in the paper matches the number on the movement you have got a super rare piece even in this condition...

From the guarantee booklet it is 15997514.  As far as I can tell everything is original.  This watch can from the original owner.  The watch only has been serviced a couple of times as far as I can tell.  Thanks. John

with the serial number on the movement ? and : does the dial have a " step " in it around the end of the minute markers ? kind regards. achim

Thanks for your questions, Yes the movement # matches the warranty number.  and yes the dial has the "Step" in it around the end of the minute markers.  The dial is mint  and the luminous are still original.  John

The early Speedy dials do not have a stepped outer track  by the min markers. That is a sign of a later dial.

I know its not the best pic.. this is what I have right now.

Thanks bill for the info.  After looking closely to the dial,  The surface of the dial and the outer ring is the same except for the slight color difference.  And actaully there is no step on it.  The color variation can kind of distort your eyes.  I am most certain now that there is no step outer ring.

The dial is beautiful and 100% correct for the CK2915-2.

Unfortunately the Pic from Bills CK 2915 shows very little of the features of an original CK 2915

The dial is from an early CK2998. You can see that in the minute totalisator. Every 5 minutes the line is pretty long.
All CK2915's have a much shorter line. You can also recognize it when looking at  the shape of the  "S" in the word Speedmaster. The CK 2915 "S" is veeeeery streched and has a big belly, the one shown here is more slim and fits perfectly to the CK 2998.
All hands are recent replacements from the current Replica 1957 Speedy as well as the bezel is.
Pushers and crown cant be seen properly. I am not sure if the pushers have 4 mm or 4,5 mm. However, the real ones have only 4 mm.

So in total Bill's watch unfortunately is a very bad example to study the speciallities of the CK2915...a pitty to say it...

You can mount the Omega 3551.50.00 bezel which is fit

Exemple on this 2915 case with a lot of aftermarket pieces.

Thanks for the great pictures and for the tip.  I will try getting one.  Right now I put on a 1969 black bezel on it.  It looks ok but just not the same look without the SS one.

 

An Ebayer in Australia is selling the bezel for 2915 and 2998.

The bezel really looks great and original.  Do you guys think that it will fit my 2915.  The measurement stated in the auction is 40mm outer and 34mm inside diameter.  Very tempting to try getting one.
