many thanks Nic.
i remember i bought this SMC without second thoughts when i saw it on sale few months ago. it made stimulate my interest in omeag and start vintage omega collection. after that i bougth another omega watches.
reading more about omega, in fact this is a very good watch making company, they produces a lot of outstanding movements. like this SMC, it is running very strong even for its age (i.e. 50+yrs) and keeping very good time!

Hi Stefan,
I would be more than happy if you were to start a new thread on any of these watches and told us a little history with some photographs.
And I would be ecstatic if you started with the Seamaster Calendar!
I too am constantly impressed with how accurate and well the vintage Omegas from the 50’s and 60’s run. They certainly do not take a back seat to my ‘modern’ watches.
Regards
Andrew
hi Andrew, many thanks for the invite. i am currently overseas, i would try to post something after my return.
yes, me too very impressed, during 50s and 60s, omega produced a lot fo outstanding and reliable movements, like the one cal.503 housed in my seamaster calendar was running very strong and excellent, it came with quick date set function.
my another two cal.601 housed in geneve and seasmaster de ville was reliable.
