Yesterday my AD phoned me, that it was waiting for me, and i couldn't resist to go there a.s.a.p. to see it in the Flesh,, After reading the Purist artikle from Basel, i knew that it was a watch that could be very intresting, and when you have it in your hands, and all the extra's the watch has, it's almost impossible not to get something with it.

Offcourse the red extreme temperture protection, is something what i can't think of wearing it, but for sure gives a extra demention on the watch.

Cheers,
Michel
At this moment i have the white strap on it, but id didn't get a black strap with it, i asked already at the AD, and they don't know anything about it, and will check it and let me know, there a 2 white straps with it, one small, and one very big, and offcourse a metal one.
At this moment i will wear it for some days or maybe weeks, normally i don't wear a watch to long, like to change a little bit
Cheers,
Michel
I just got a reation from my AD, about the question for the black strap, at this moment, Omega says the the watches are only delivered with 1 metal, 1 small, and 1 big white strap, as far as they can see, the black strap never made it in production, they checked the other Alaska's, and they are all without the black one, if there are people here with a black strap i would love to hear it.
Cheers,
Michel
Yeah, the watch came in this box, i even used your picture to send to Omega, to show them how the watch was presented, so still waiting for the answer, but probably it will stay with the answer they gave already, but will keep you informed if i have a new respons from them.
Cheers,
Michel
despite having sold about 6 of them within last 12 months i've got this hankering for another one. might go for the 1957 re-issue or perhaps the broad arrow. i cant make my mind up.
this Alaska piece certainly makes a statement

Altrough i never thought of buying a Omega, i have to say, i really like this one, not to big, so very good on my wrist, and with the white strap and white dial, a perfect combo for me occasions
Cheers,
Michel
Well, daring or not, i always think, that beside a brand, it is just a feeling you have with a model, one of the best example for me last year, is that we all could see here, all the watch collectors like and what to have the Seiko Discus burger, a brand normally i could not think of that much attention, but with a display like that, we could resist a watch like that, and the Alaska project, well it is just to funky and fun not to have one
Cheers,
Michel
big congratulations
It REALLY itches when I see it....... but I have to save for something else I set my mind on.
It looks like it could have been in star wars - what do you think? LOL
best regards
