Omega is a brand really about its vintage designs
I recently tried on a handful of some newer Planet Ocean models. The are so sporty, so alluring in photos. But on the wrist, I don't know, lacking for me (let alone much too thick).
I see your shots of the older models and the charm is so sweet. Must be quite the pleasure to wear.
You have obviously a good point here Michael. I have the '57 broad arrow re-edition powered by the 9300 and...
.. .it is really thick and heavy. This is why I like this re-edition because it does not just look nice but it is really comfortable to wear. And the bracelet is a dream (although the clasp is a bit big but it has built-in 3-notch micro adjustment). So I will most probably get rid of the '57 broad arrow.
And yes: the 2915 is great to wear although the 7077 bracelet is a bit fragile...

I believe that the challenge ...
"Rusty" x New has no end.
I prefer a watch that I can feel and the vintage ones feels way too light even flimsy.
But this is my view and I respect everyone that enjoys the past glory and I even, not frequently, do my incursions to vintage.
I'm anxious to receive my Trilogy and I go to wear each one with pleasure, without any concern about water resistance or, in the case of the two Master Certified, magnetic fields exposure.

I have ordered the three models but individually as I don´t care for the Triology inscription (though I like the box and accesories). I feel they will arrive late this year.
I guess you have the best of two worlds with these pieces: original vintage and modern to wear without any concern.

So the 60th Anniversary Speedmaster does not have
a pie-pan dial. This little detail would have knocked it out of the park, but apparently Omega still hasn't made a proper Speedmaster pie-pan dial since the transitional ST145.022
