I have a list of points that made me to reject the Speedmaster Mark II:

- It's way too tall
- It works well with a steel bracelet (that I don't like)

Then, Art keeps posting his Mark II vintage and I give it a try.

It continued to be a tall watch but ... it's nice.

Love the internal bezel lume, dresses nice and what I can do?

Got one, slight used (almost new), sorry boutique, next time.

The movement, CoAxial, is not a wonder but it works fine.

Here is me, wearing a SS bracelet and being happy.

The new Mark II has only some similarities with the vintage one. The movement is automatic (the "rusty" sports a classic hand wind 861) but is a nice homage.

Thanks Art for another "bad" influence.

. . . this was at the infamous Rainbow Bar and Grill on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood.  They have a Superbowl party every year and I'd missed the last few; it was also the owner's 93rd birthday, so I really had to make it this time.

Stopping at Maggie's old place later tonite for a few hours of bank-the-eight, though, and likely at her new place on Saturday.  Haven't seen her in a few months now, and she's truly missed.

as a vintage mk2 fan, I must say that the reissue looks very nice. Espcecially the colorful rallye version.
