Alright what happen is the wearer of this Laureato was being robbed. The robbers actually had sharp weapons, believe to be big blades or knives or whatever you call it, and had caused some slash wound to the wearer. However, this watch probably saved his wrist from being deeply cut or possibly chopped off.....




The wearer must have tried to blocked one of the slash as a natural reaction and he manage to take one on the watch! Which i think he is very lucky that he had the watch on his wrist which actually did protect his wrist!!

This watch was sent in for repairing and i manage to take a few shots thus like to share it here with all. It was pretty gross as the sapphire glass was broken completely, one hand is broken, the hour and minute hand's luminous was cracked and the bezel, well you see it! But the carbon fibre dial remains 1 piece.  And if you look carefully you will see some blood stain on the right sub dial near to number 2. It was pretty raw and i've never seen a watch in this condition before....kinda like seeing a F40 car crashed and the remainders sent to workshop=p

Well, i did thought of this idea of blocking some blade attack, if ever, touch wood,i am being attacked, with my watch but had never experienced or seen anything like this. So it does work but chances are the blade might miss the watch and gets to the wrist! Ouch....

Reminds us all to be careful out there.  One never knows what will happen in future events.

Nope they did not get the culprit yet. I wonder if they will ever get caught sometimes as its really difficult to get them when this are not some famous or serial kinda criminal. Just some punk on the streets and they are everywhere! May they have an ending worst then what they done to others.

But not on the other part of the body i guess. Indeed scary. Public must be more aware of surrounding and SERIOUSLY avoid walking alone in the dark or quiet.

Just wish the owner of the watch a speedy recovery.  May be he should wear this watch all the time as it saved his life.  I hope this never happens to me and any love ones I know.

The owner of the watch was obviously very fortunate not  being hurt more.

Sad story! I must admit that there are certain areas/cities on this planet where I would not feel save wearing an expensive watch.

The robber probably didnt recognise this as an expensive watch, it takes some intelligence for one to appreciate fine watches and this is some brands culprits wouldnt know, otherwise he would have taken the watch instead of slashing it. Just my 2c. And thats also part of the reason why alot dont wear Rolex nowadays, too famous and too eye catchy among the bad ones.

Hi, I was looking at the watch pictured. It seems that other posts with the F40 watch and the watch pictured differ a little bit. The watch in this thread does not have the yellow numbers around the outside of the watch. Can anyone verify this because I am interested in purchasing this watch also.
