Girard Perregaux

Sun was setting and I just had to take a few shots. I’m wearing my 38 mm Girard-Perregaux cushion case ref 2499.

There were only about 120 or so of these made in 2005. Most do not know they exist.

About 50 of them have the Khanjar …(crest of the sultan of Oman) engraved on the caseback.

I managed to get a NOS original GP bracelet with stickers on it and I put it on the watch today. GP does not have any more stock of these bracelets, so quite hard to come by.

Sound on 🔊 for the music to the wrist role.

I find the 2499 to be such a well proportioned watch. Simple lines and yet tremendous beauty in this simplicity.

Great on the bracelet.

And the 38 mm size is modern. GP was often ahead of its time I think. I think many of the neo vintage pieces have their current production pieces beaten hands down … especially for the bang for the buck. But the trick is knowing the rare birds from the more common birds. 😉

The bracelet gives it a macho look and the strap immediately gives it a more classic vintage look.
