A lot of brands, even Rolex, until roughly 2 decades ago, hollowed out their links of gold. So I shouldn't be so critical. Even today, many of the top brands' bracelets aren't solid all the way through. Looking at Patek Philippe cufflinks - the old ones from the 1980s were much smaller in size, yet weigh more than the ones today.
I think I'm the only person who doesn't dislike the date at 4:30. I'd say Chopard did a good job with the date.

THANK GOODNESS for the colored disc! I feel if the date was at 3, the dial would look less balanced. And if it were at 6, while it'd be symmetrical, we'd lose the large VI Roman numeral. I'd say the designers made the right choice - if they had to include the date. But totally understand those who don't need to have the date on their watch that they'd rather not have it at all.
