Does Chopard make any 38 mm for AE? Or is 36 the closest size to the 41 mm?
No they don’t. 41 and 36. But the 41 is really much closer to a 39 as the guard on each side add 2-3 mm to the official case size
IMHO, these AE dials are the best of all integrated bracelet stainless steel offerings, and this non date variant is the best

I really like the Bulgari Sandblasted rose gold Octo Finissimo.
But they hollow out the bracelet links to use less gold. Bad Bulgari! Bad! Don't cheap out on the gold! Bad!
Honestly, a lot of brands hollow out the links.
A lot of brands, even Rolex, until roughly 2 decades ago, hollowed out their links of gold. So I shouldn't be so critical. Even today, many of the top brands' bracelets aren't solid all the way through. Looking at Patek Philippe cufflinks - the old ones from the 1980s were much smaller in size, yet weigh more than the ones today.

Me too. I am also extremely glad they did the date disc with a dial color matching background!
And even the standard version with the standard movement is pretty darn thin at 9.7mm. Not overly thick at all!
Yeah they all wear well. The disc color is a nice touch too! My turquoise chrono having a turquoise date wheel is pretty cool to me!
I think I'm the only person who doesn't dislike the date at 4:30. I'd say Chopard did a good job with the date.
THANK GOODNESS for the colored disc! I feel if the date was at 3, the dial would look less balanced. And if it were at 6, while it'd be symmetrical, we'd lose the large VI Roman numeral. I'd say the designers made the right choice - if they had to include the date. But totally understand those who don't need to have the date on their watch that they'd rather not have it at all.
Totally aligned with you here. Having the 4 Roman numerals (12, 3, 6, 9) on a dial make such a difference IMHO

This Minority Class: People who like the Alpine Eagle's 4:30 date display.
They certainly have a very good offering. The comfort is also pretty good which is one of the main reason I got so many 🤣
