A short while back I posted a message asking if Blancpain's Lettres Du Brassus was still being published because I have not heard from Blancpain after receiving the first issue. Jeff Kingston and Magnus Bosse both responded with their very kind assistance. Shortly afterwards, a box came in the mail containing Lettres #5 and a 280+ pages book on Blancpain. Wow, what interesting reading.
Today, another box arrived with the other back issues. Now I will be set for quite a long time on reading material.
And a special thank you to David Kallenberg, General Manager of the New York store, for mailing these issues.
Thanks to all, and Cheers, Frederick
And yes, this is a very interesting reading.
Even if my Nr 3 begins to be very used, as I read it a lot and very often ( FF Article, by Jeff Kingston ).
The Nr is very interesting, too with a nice view on the Cal 13 RO, a beautiful movement housed in the " 8 Days ".
Enjoy, my friend!
Best,
Nicolas
I hope you enjoy your "box"!
We are in fact slaving away on Issue 6. It was supposed to have gone to the printer at the start of this month. But a major story in the issue is about the new L-evolution watches. And Blancpain decided to make a change in the numerals on the dial. Soooooooo.... we could not finish the story until we had photos and we could not have correct photos until the new dials were finalized. Voila!, things come to a stop. We now have the dials and the watches are out at the photographer as I write this. All the other layouts are finalized. But it will take a couple of weeks to finalize the layouts for this story after the photos come back and it takes a month to print and get packaged for mailing. So it will be October before Issue 6 goes out.
But we have some very cool stuff in this issue. Sorry that everyone has to wait a lot longer than I ever imagined.
Jeff
Can't wait till it is October. Really love the magazine. Any Ideas how I can get my hands on nr. 2? That is the only missing issue on my shelf. Thanks.
Best,
