Not the specimen itself, thatβs for you experts to judge but the reference/model. I never understood why on the re-edition Blancpain chose to emit the seconds hand, by using a three register chronograph movement and dumb it down. A chronograph must have seconds indication!
Yeah, I was surprised about that too. I don't know why but for me that the dial was rough, replacement hands, and it wasn't Rayville or milspec watch made it something I wasn't interested in bidding on.
Oooo I was watching this lot crossing my fingers it might have been overlooked in the catalogue but no such luck π Great result for an amazing piece.

I had asked Jeffrey Kingston for some of his thoughts on the Air Command and it helped solidify the origins and most likely real version of the real history of the watches, that and given the fully modern size of the original piece this was something I would have loved to have added. As re-editions go, I think they did a great job with the re-edition so it's a tempting option I just wish they hadn't gone so heavy on the fauxtina.
