Is there anyway to "decontaminate" the radiation, yet preserving the lume? Or the Radium lume must be peeled away to decontaminate? Thanks.

Yes, you can clean the radium and change it for luminova. But you kill the value of the watch, as you kill its " integrity ".

The re edition is very faithful, indeed. And there were some watches from this era which were in the 42 mm range. Look at the JLC Polaris, Vulcain Nautical, Longines Diver...
