Audemars Piguet

Last night literally was a sleepless night for me. It's just a watch but had me tossing and turning. I feel very fortunate to be able to purchase this and also fortunate to have the AP NY boutique staff treat me like family. It's a great feeling. In all seriousness I have been able to shop at many great shops but their staff is the best worldwide. No exaggeration. This is my 6th watch from them and it just gets better every time.

Which do I go with? Titanium or Rose Gold? My favorite color for a dial is grey so both win that. But my all time favorite combo is Rose Gold and Grey. I have a DeBethune DB22 and a A.Lange Timezone both with that combo. It's just stunning. Now with the ceremet on the Rose it just pops. This rose looks even better than the traditional Rose color AP uses. I am sure it's the same formula but the Ceremet does the trick.

So went to the boutique again with my Titanium on.

My comments earlier were sincere; there is something ultra cool about the black subdials, trimmed in RG, on grey, with that silverized minute track.  Could not be happier for you!!  In case I don't get to see it before, make sure you bring it to the APAC 2013!!

BTW, kind of off topic, I would love your thoughts on the new Messi LEs if you handled them.  I'm diggin' your cermet on RG Schumi, and imagine the tantalum on RG of that piece is pretty hot too.

Messi? It is a really nice looking watch. Bezel pops like crazy but I might be the minority here.

I don't like any of the 41mm ROs. I think the text is too large and for the royal oaks they should all remain 39mm and keep it true to the original.

Leave it to the offshore line for 42mm and above.

My favorite is the PLT on the messi. Tantalum and blue are the perfect color combination.

It's a fantastic watch. The rose gold version is very narrowly my favourite over the titanium. If money was no object then it's the one I'd go for. It's a great looking watch and comparisons to the GP probably explain why I like it so much. I think it takes the best styling cues from the GP and leaves out the details that may make the watch (GP) look dated in another ten years. I think the design of the MS is very classy and should ensure that the style of the watch never looks dated.

yes it was very hard to choose but I knew I would regret not getting the Rose version. It's really stunning. The ceremet makes it look like a different shade of rose gold. Not so deep. More vibrant!

Congratulations on getting one so fast! Someone (I think it was Ariel Adams) made the point that Schumacher must have had some personal input since the racing flag dial has carried over from his past deals with another manufacturer.

Great choice with the RG. Awesome shots! Enjoy her!
