so i could take and post pics from ro40 exhibition, it's been three days since event started yet no single pic, it's not only on here it's on all other watch forums and blogs too, you should lookup at car industry they know how to create buzz. for example  first they  leak photo of car, then studio photos appear online, then short videos, car is set to debut at let's say geneva autoshow, journalist get to take live pics day before show starts so there are tons of pics from every angle of car, then show is open for public and random people take and post pictures online and there are gazzilion pics floating online, that is what i call coverage. this years sihh(except Jorge's report) and baselword sucked in terms of coverage and now this ro exhibition. that just were my 2 cents This message has been edited by ThomasM on 2012-03-25 08:15:10

I went to the exhibit last night - no cameras - only authorized press. 

It was a really nice exhibit with a good representation of different Oak pieces since 1972.  It was pretty cool to see the "full" lineage of when different Oak models were released and read the firms explanations of the models.  It was well done. 

I think since the exhibit is going to be traveling, AP doesn't want too much to get out so that there is still a "splash" in other countries/markets. 

I truly thank AP for their hospitality and for putting this together.  To me, its the first time in a long time I've been to an event where I learned something, and actually was interested in what the brand was saying.  The Royal Oak is a timeless design and should be praised. 

It was also moving to see the watch of Gerald Genta - kinda felt some magic was in the room.

I believe our fellow PuristSPro moderators and members did an outstanding job covering this year's shows.  I find your remarks offensive to those who put in hours and hours of their own time to bring us not only photographs but tremendous insight into the brands and their new pieces.

i usually check TZ and PuristPro dozent times on daily basis (for AP and PP) a main reason is because of pics of beautiful pieces that i'm interested in, but for shows like sihh and basel that are annually deserve better coverage, props to user Allen and VMM for their sihh reports they were great, but coverage of PP at baselworld 2012 was fail, there is one picture on whole forum of white nautilus and i've posted it from other forum, that tells everything. i've posted same thread on TZ and they banned me, well truth hurts

Here at PuristSPro we interact with each other in a respectful manner.  We thrive on varying opinions; it is part of what makes our community diverse and special.  Everyone here has an equal voice.  It has been like that since the inception of PuristS over 10 years ago.

Your blanket statement is very disrespectful:

So you check in 12 times a day and our coverage is not to your standards so it sucked? I think many would disagree with you.  Regardless, when you post on our boards I kindly request you express your view in a more reasonable manner.  A lot of members worked very hard to post the reports they did, and they don't need to read you say their efforts sucked.

I have no interest in banning you but I will go no further with this discussion.

this prove you can NEVER please everyone. Instead of appreciating the effort put forward by people whose only desire is to show the watches in the best possible light,

they find it necessary to demean their efforts. I for one sincerely appreciate all the efforts put forth from all at the "The Purists"!
