Inside The Archives With Audemars Piguet
Those are some really beautiful vintage Audemars Piguet watches.
I think it's funny that if you asked most people that are even slightly into watches and you mentioned AP the vast majority would say they know of the Royal Oaks and possible now the Code 11:59 and have no idea as to why AP are part of the holy trinity or why. Forget about them knowing virtually anything about their rich and storied history to most I would say they are defined by the Royal Oaks and that's it.

I think that their catalog of previous pieces has some wonderful designs. I really wish they would stop issuing an RO in its 1,978th version and instead go back to the catalog and do an update and refresh of those pieces.

Indeed, quite a trio!
But I could choose the ladies' watch over the Shaeffer (not fond of these Letter indexes)...
I want every one of these without the repeater complication...
...the first two are especially stunning...
The first one, in particular, for me: close to perfection.
And the square one. But the John Shaeffer letter markers aren't my cup of tea.

The Shaeffer is a one-off...
...but i'd like to see it as a normal watch as I love the case shape...

I could dislike them in another context, but here they look perfect.
The first round one is absolutely stunning ! Imagine the retailer, having the watch for 20 years in stock !! I reckon they would sell it at a bargain nowadays after only 2/3 years ! :D
It's close to perfection for me.
And, unfortunately, I think you're right: almost nobody would be interested in such a piece.
