Have been traveling with this over the last few months. Despite its relatively meaningful wrist presence this has been so fun and easy to wear - especially with the Titanium build, the curved proportions, and the interchangeable straps. Also having a GMT function is oddly functional for travel (although subtracting 6 hours from European time is not too difficult)...

I've heard a rumor that two time zone functions may be returning in the future? Would be amazing to finally bring this back in the fold.

I am a big fan of the GMT function, which is a nice, friendly and very useful complication.

Apparently you have no worries about taking this complicated and expensive watch with you and wearing it with considerable wrist presence anywhere in the world.

I feel the same. A watch has to be worn. Especially a marvel like yours.

One very recently in the Geneva boutique. Our boutique received two since the launch, and they have since been allocated. A really fun piece, and I have more pleasure with this than RM!

and I concluded this AP is hands down better than RM.

I was an early collector of RM - and I loved the original aesthetic of the brand without all of the over the top colours and attention and prices! My favorite in RM has always been the RM004 (which has a wonderful APRP movement).

I had looked at an RM65 before the Concept, as I couldn't wear any of the 44mm Concept Tourbillon GMT models, and was not keen on the Marvel pieces.

Enter the Split Second Concept - once i heard about it - I was hooked! And it has definitely become a stable in the collection.

And now seeing that AP Le Locle and Le Brassus manufactures finishes and assembles many of the advanced RM movements (including the Ferrari), reinforces my choice even further.

This is such a better choice than the 65! I think the 65 is a giant miss for them with the ridiculous price tag and fugly ears, their target market do not care about the split seconds function in that watch and in my opinion they would have been better off just reviving the 004 for the 4th time. I do hope that AP brings back carbon into the concept fold, I've had 3 concepts so far and the carbon is just by far my favorite because the weight really disguises the size even at 44mm.

You are a Concept god! I totally agree with your comments on the 65 - I had a "meh" moment when I saw the back and much of the original Vaucher movement in the RM005/10/11 in the 65. For the price, I would expect a lot more innovation!

I agree - if AP could perfect carbon or some lighter material, that would be super. I'm a bit bummed that AP didn't get access to Carbon TFT, but maybe there will be new materials in the future? They have shared some of their new plasma technology which maybe a preview of what's to come?
