


1) know the seller. If you do not know the seller, know somebody, who knows the seller and confirms that he/she is of good reputation
2) know what you buy. And I mean: know exactly, up to the smallest detail, what your object of desire is supposed to look like.
3) see the watch "in the flesh". If you can not see it "live" (which is often the case): get high resolution pictures of the watch, the case, the case-back, the movement, the inner case-back etc.
If any of the above three is missing, I do not move on purchases.
