Then, I realised that I did not have with me the full documentation and background, certificate of birth and blood group card to provide alongside.

I guess that by the new standards here, it makes it a total frankenfake  (hey, it doesn't even have leCoultre written on the dial !), so I think I should better refrain and keep it under my sleeve to enjoy with me, myself and I

BTW: I'm also not aware of ".. new standards" here,
- just maybe, that politeness should be a quality ubiquitously to be cherished..
and THAT should never change, IMO.
Period.

Nice daily wear. I was also wearing a chrono today, but from another brand...

These Chronographs ain't my cup of tea since no inhouse produced movements, just mass production off-the-shelf, I use to call them 'grown boy's toy' but that's just an opinion.
