I took the JLC moderation almost 6 years ago ( 3rd of january 2008, if I remember well ), and lived so many crazy moments, with the brand and with you.

I revisited my hard disc and fell on these pictures, which all represent a lot.

Before being a moderator, JC invited me at the SIHH, in 2007.

At this moment, I didn't get that I had to take pictures of watches, only...



But it was before...

In 2007, again, I was invited to attend a surrealist moment, the inauguration of the Heritage gallery...



Jérôme Lambert was at the helm of JLC...



It as also the first time I met our dear friend Jérôme Berder, aka " Dje ".

In 2008, the Paris JLC Boutqique was very small, and you had to wait a long time before being able to go into it.

And the first protos of the Tribute To Polaris, to not forget!



My Duometre, finally on my wrist...



2009, another exciting year, with some important events such as...

The 24 Hours Le Mans Race... In our own way:



The arrival of the Tribute To Polaris, of course!



And the birth of the Hybris Mechanica, which I had the pleasure to see in avant première at the Manufacture:



2010 was the year I discovered the Master Grande Tradition Grande Complication, a slice of dream...



And the unforgettable visit of the Atmos Workshop:



As well as the Striking Watches Exhibition, whch haunted my nights, for many months!



2011 was an intense year, with the unveiling of the Tribute to Deep Sea Alarm, certainly one of the articles I wrote with the biggest pleasure:



2011... The 80th year of the... Reverso, too, with the birth of the Tribute To Reverso 1931, and a superb exhibition dedicated to this icon form the Grande Maison, By the Grande Maison:









2011 was also the 10th year of our virtual and beloved home, Watchprosite, which was celebrated in Vegas:



The most impressive gathering of friends and watchnuts!



2012... Jaeger-Lecoultre organized one of the most impressive event to celebrate the 180th anniversary of the Grande Maison, on two days.

First, a private party at the Musée D'Orsay. Can you believe that they booked the whole Musée D'Orsay only for us?!!!



The day after was totally surrealist, as they organized a party in a parisian grand hotel:



Gyrotourbillonesque!



Earlier in the year, I attented one of the most surprising and mysterious photo session I ever had, in a mysterious parisian place, for the unveleiling of the Deep Sea Chronograph Vintage:



2013 was a rich year, emotionally, and horologically.

It was, of course, the year JLC celebrated their 180th anniversary, with an intresting collection of watches, such as the MUT Jubilé:



Outside the Jubilé Collection, they also gave birth to my favourite Watch Of The Year, the Duometre Unique Travel time, which I had the pleasure to wear during my So Cal trip, another breathtaking moment of these 6 last years:

Another trip has to be mentionned, the visit of the Manufacture in April.

I discovered the " Maison D'Antoine ", and lived some mad and funny moments with our dear Dje:



You see, a moderator's life is not only all about fun, but it can also be very serious...

Of course, there are much more watches and events I could have mentionned, here, but this article is already very long...

I wanted to say thank you for the superb moments, and pay a last homage to Jérôme Lambert, for his friendship duiring all these years, too, now that he took the helm of another brand.

For Moderatorship, where you keep this forum alive, together with several of you/ us here..
Simply said : you're a main pillar for this community and else, as well:

For always being to the point, pretty precisely - but also full of humor !

For having helped several, no - many of us here, to look, to learn and to grow together.

For always having the right balance between exuberance, elegant wordings, and razor- sharp analysis,
in your reviews and posts, not to speak about your pics, who have to receive their own kudos,
I would suppose..

For always being ready for gatherings, let it be on a given occasion, either big JCL event or
smaller GTG's
( I remember the small crowd for the intro of the DSA, who had a lot of fun..)

For always being accessible, being here - and there - as Vlad seems to have several gifts:
poly- location, knowledge about some wishes and the ability to keep the spark glowing..

For having the ability to generate a good laugh, an ironic comment and a passionate
opinion : YES, we feel very well here, in this crazy cyber community,
which meanwhile has generated friendships and many happy moments,
where the re-living of those are sparks to keep the flame alive and growing..

Even after my rather short time here in this cyber domain, 3,5. years, you already have left
big traces in my collection, and so many friendly hints, tips ,encounters and more..

So I would like to thank you for your catalystic ability to wake passion in many of us,
or to commonly stimulate and foster the pleasures of our community,

BUT: also saying big thank you for help & advice, for many hilarious moments,
for lived pleasure and a lot of empathic understanding for all us here.
AND: also to be grateful, for some, no - many personal monents of joy,
and elements of passion being awaked by your kind attitude.

I'll stop with my rambling, but felt, that this had to be said, on behalf of my humbly own and,
as I am convinced, many many here.

As for the launch of the Tribute To Polaris, it is an unforgettable moment. And a crazy day, as I came late because of a case to plead...

your photos of the years and the various different events do bring back many fond memories.. even though I have not been to any of them nor I have the pleasure to meet your personally.  But your wonderful reports and posts have made them very memorable.   I, like the rest of the community here, is very grateful and thankful of your 6 years of defining JLC moderatorship.  I cannot ask for more… as you have done so much already, but I am greedy, so I do look forward to many years of your contribution in this forum.   Thank you may I wish you and your family a great Christmas and Happy holidays.   /W72

That is so true.

A forum is a matter a Community. Without Community, speaking in the Desert, you do nothing.

That is the superiority of a Forum, versus a Blog.

In all seriousness, I owe you a great debt of gratitude for your very warm welcome when I first started to post here.

Most newbies, myself included, feel a bit insecure and intimidated when they first sign up. Your patience and encouragement and most of all your enthusiasm is contagious. Your kindness and selflessness was a contributing factor in making me feel very much at home here; amongst friends who share a common interest.

I have quite a few watches that you are directly responsible for, mostly from the maison JLC I might add.

 I hope this post doesn't sound too much like a tribute or a farewell speech because I don't believe it to be so.

Please continue in your evil ways and don't let the sun go down on me.
