I would like to know the meaning of a small number on the back of my JLC Master Memovox. It is a "N. 022" as you can see (up-side-down) on the third picture; is it a case number? It is faintly engraved not as bold as the other letters and numbers applied on the rim of the see-trough back. I was once told that such numbers were also used on steel cases of the same model and that it was a numbering up to 1000. So a hidden 'limited series". Is this correct? If so, we should have a smaller run for the pink gold series which appears to be quite rare indeed. Any relevant information would be most welcome, thanks!

Thank you very much indeed Nicolas for your quick answer. So the production of the pink gold with black dial was limited to 217, it really is a funny number; one would have expected a round number like 200 or 250. Do you happen to know the number for the steel/ black dial, is it 1000 as I was told, or is it too round a figure to be true for a limited production !!! By the way, the GyroTourbillon II you posted today is out of this world!! Best,
Never noticed this number - my steel version is 166

Very interesting!
I never noticed this number before today. I was wearing my steel version today, by coincidence. Mine is No. 166.
Thank you both (fleurdecoin and Amanico) for this information - making it a true Memovox Sunday. Beautiful watch by the way. I hadn't seen pictures of the gold version before.
I have had two memovox both older that had the alarm hit a rod on the back case, I see this one has rear window rather then a metal case back, SO does the alarm have a nice chime or does it still make that THUNK noise?
