I think the MMR and the Reverso Gyrotourbillon II are quite nice evidences of JLC's position at the vanguard of Haute Horlogerie.

 

Regarding the Quantiéme Perpetual you’re also right – a highly impressive piece!

And truly fantastic watches. I absolutely love the Duometre and the new Tourbillon Perpetual - both completely outside my budget but they are stunning. Thanks for posting DRMW - keep these posts coming!

Jerome Lambert's personal Duometre (he also shared a great story of him jogging around the streets of London with it!  )  IMHO the rose gold variant works so well with the dial and blue hands.  There's something very special about this piece

So which of the JLC Duometre do you like the most?  Rose gold or Platinum?

I had a feeling that there was something watch-related going on yesterday, as I was strolling through Beverly Hills. I had walked by the Jaeger-LeCoultre boutique, walked past the Montage Hotel, and so on, but I just couldn't put my nose on it.

In the end, I had to settle for the very poorly catered Chanel runway show at their boutique on Rodeo Drive. And even at that event, my watch radar was ticking like a geiger counter.

Beautiful watches. Were these actual watches or prototypes? I've held the Reverso Triptyque prototype, and it was monstrous in size. Since the prototype was in steel and the actual watch is in platinum, I can imagine the real watch is very heavy as well. The Extreme Lab prototype I held was also not well-functioning.

What was the dinner menu? Was it something Swiss inspired?

You were near the JLC Botuique and you didn't stop by to say hello?  We were all waiting for you!

It was a interesting comparison of the heft of a platinum Triptyque vs the high tech light weight wonder that is the JLC Extreme Lab.  BTW, the Extreme Lab was functioning well.

Honestly, that was an amazing start to my day.  Your photos are terrific.  What a great opportunity to meet and greet with Mr. Lambert. 

But the WATCHES!!!!!  Wow!!  That must have been a little like heaven, no?  At least tourbillion heaven.

The JLC tourbillions are on another level!  Thank you for the compliments but my pictures do not do them justice so if you have a chance stop by your AD and check out the new offerings from Jaeger Le-Coultre.  Better yet, plan your summer vacation and come out to Los Angeles and visit the great folks at the JLC Beverly Hills Boutique! 

All that were in attendance were captivated by the stunning & creative way JLC designed their tourbillions.

Thanks Ming for taking the time to snap pics throughout the entire dinner, and your macros shots of the watches are awesome given the dark ambience of the room. 

A big thanks to the JLC Boutique for inviting a couple of us to this special event with Mr. Jerome Lambert.  (Btw, a note to the local Los Angeles PuristS, I want to make sure you guys know that this was not an official PuristSPro event but a small private event put together by the BH JLC Boutique so we did not purposely leave you guys out for this event).

I don't own any JLC watch but after this dinner, I have learned a lot about JLC and its philosophy.  I really like the Duometre and the Extreme LAB, so those 2 watches have now made it to my wish list.  The Gryo 1 and 2 were breathtaking and I've seen many pictures of them on the web but never had the opportunity to see them in person until last night.  WOW is the only word I can describe these 2 pieces.  If only money grew on trees...

The conversation during dinner was candid, intimate, and educational.  Jerome told us several stories and even joked about the Panerai I was wearing :P  A warming atmosphere, and I hope everyone else had as great of a time as I did.

Food and wine were great, and a large JLC leather storage watch box as the parting gift was a pleasant surprise when I opened up the goodie bag this morning.

Thanks once again to the entire JLC staff - the lovely Kate, Mr. Lambert, Mr. Laurian, and Mrs. Misrach - for a wonderful educational evening.  JLC watches in general offer great value, and I can't wait to add one to my collection in the near future.

I agree that the pieces that JLC presented were breathtaking  and reveals the incredible capabilities of the manufacture.  Jaeger Le-Coultre has a wide variety from the classic Master Control Ultra Thin to these marvelous Gyro Tourbillions, something to fit everyone's budget.  Regardless of the exceptional value that JLC has to offer, WOW is one way to describe their products.  That's probably why they have been one of my favorite brands since I first started the interest in this hobby.

Thanks to Art D. aka Dr. No for his help with taking pictures of the watches.  The room was designed to be an intimate ambiance but that made it extremely difficult for photographs so the help was greatly appreciated!

Let's also give credit where credit is due.  JLC's Ms. Stephanie ( jlc.watchprosite.com ) did an outstanding job with the delicious epicurean menu in a elegant setting.  It was a pleasure to have met Mr. Lambert,  Mrs. Misrach, and Mr. laurian.

As for watches, what can I say?

The Gyro I is literally eating my poor brain, and, by the way, the one you saw was a proto, with a special case back.

The Duo Metre doesn't exist in WG, but in platinum.

you were lucky to see the Extrem Lab, as it didn't already landed in Paris...

During the dinner's frank discussion with Mr. Lambert, there was much stress/emphasis on the Jaeger Le-Coultre "TEAM" and the concept of the "we (individual employees) are servants to the brand (JLC)" and not the other way around.  It's the team effort and philosophy that brings such lively and inspirational concepts that make Jaeger Le-Coultre the innovative company that we all enjoy.

When we met up in Paris last October, you were eagerly awaiting your Duometre, like a child on December 24 waiting for Santa to climb down the chimney to bring you a very special present.  I think we all know now what you were feeling!

Hopefully my pics give a glimpse of how phenomenal these pieces really are.

Your opinion of Jerome Lambert is that of ours as well!  I am confident that Mr. Lambert will lead the company to new levels and an even brighter future for JLC.

JLC was my first love and like an older guy remembering early days, I like it again more and more
