So, after much deliberation and ordering some time ago, I picked up my new Duometre in RG today. I had only see the platinum version in the flesh, but ordered the gold sight unseen. Besides the price difference, the contrast between dial, case and hands made the gold the choice for me. I'm very pleased.
This wasn't my first JLC purchase, but it was the first time I've purchased directly from a JLC boutique. The surprise to me was the doubling of the standard 2 year warranty to 4 years which the salesperson suggested was done only on boutique purchases. Is this correct from anyone else's experience?

This is defintely a great one, and one of the very best Chrono of he actual production...
While typing these lines, I have mine on the wrist..
As for your question, I didn't ask if there were any additional warranty, I mean 4 years instead 2.
But I will ask.
From the JLC Boutiques, you'll always have a great welcome and service, which I tested myself.
I'm lucky enough to not have to ask them to repair any of my watches, except my Vintage Polaris, and I will send with the same piece of Mind another of my Vintage watches, the Master Mariner Deep Sea.
So, now, enough speaking: Show us some pivs of your new addition, please, and give us your impressions!
Best,
Nicolas
I wore my RG Duometre today and accomplished very little since everytime I wear it I just stare hypnotized by that glorious dial and movement. I keep taking it on and off just to admire it from all angles. Wear it in good health and enjoy!

Hate to rain on the party, but I know two people who have been lucky enough to own this spectacular timepiece...both came back to me with one concern:
When starting, stopping & resetting the Chronograph, do it in one good solid push that thoroughly engages & disengages the function. Both owners noted discrepancies when the seconds counter did not re-align consistently until the button was pushed a few more times, but when done with a solid push, it was fine.
That said, maybe they were unlucky with very early movements that had tiny issues...nothing major, & both also consider it to be one of the finest watches they have ever seen let alone owned....last thing you want is a premature return to the Manufacture!

Young
