Jaeger-LeCoultre

My preference would be the former date window

simple, crisp, and well balanced proportions

I love the thin and balanced batons!

Thank you, Jota

I'd go for one that doesn't eat into the minute track

The first one looks more discreet and blends in better imho.

Former one, for me. It is purer, and doesn't eat the minute track.

It seems there is a unison and I am also of the same mind.

Even though the latter looks better by itself, it does eat the minute track like our dear Nico and jml watches already stated, and also it is not in unison and harmony with the whole watch, so my choice would be the former, very balanced and good looking

Here is a counter example, from a E 855 black ( late 60's ).

No date window eating the minutes track.

Such a cool example. The black ones don't seem to ever surface.

Not often, at least.

Sadly, however, the date only goes up to 12.

A wonder.
