The versions with the enamel dials and the black dials are my favorites.

A feast for the eyes: Jaeger Lecoultre Duomètre à Quantième Lunaire Enamel White Gold, 40, 5 mm.
The perfect size for this version, in my opinion. The " small " case works very well, in terms of refinement, with the enamel dial.
And what a dial!
Number 2 in my wish list, just after another Duometre, the Unique Travel Time in white gold.

The dial is really superb.
I do however find the 42mm case better proportioned for the Duometre line.
Yes, I agree about the 42 mm case in general, as well, but here I would make a good exception because of the refined enamel dial. A smaller 40, 5 mm case is, in my opinion, a very good choice. [nt]

It may sound picky but why on earth would you have the caliber and email grand feu written down on the dial? I fail to see the purpose as well as the appeal for this!
