It's absolutely gorgeous my friend and in splendid shape and condition

I love a lot its Dauphine hands and, more particularly, the second tiny one, applied indexes and, last but not least, the black date which offers a great contrast.

The double crosshairs is to die for too and... particularly well enhanced on your wooden beam 👍

But, may be I should lend you mine... more "crosshair" LOL 😉

Best wishes

Alkiro

That's no crosshair....

Looks great

I must find where that wooden beam is as it always seems to have stunning watches on it.

Think it must be the horological equivalent of the end of the rainbow

Agreed. The E 329 is a totally under rated reference and it is not fair! It is really elegant. [nt]

Hi, I just picked one up silly cheap on a make an offer bid on eBay France . it  needs a revision and I must try and do something with those hands..i'm confident the sub second  rust spot can be easily rid of..No sign of water damage to the movement, it's just dirty....Were really only 4121 made from 1957-62 like it says in the article about JLC automatics elsewhere on this site? Must make it a bit of a rare best..You got to wonder how many are in circulation 60 years later. I love it ..I'm certainly not going to part with it anytime soon!! smile

Congrats!

It's back! The rusting round the sub dial pinion has gone (along with a bit of the dial finish..but i can live with that. Only visible at certain angles..

Enjoy this lovely watch. Thanks for keeping us posted. [nt]

it always is such a big pleasure to have this one on the wrist:
Even days - white date on black;
Uneven days - black date on white.

Low key but classy

before and after pics

 By: Mike Malcolm : March 11th, 2018-04:04
Just thought I'd gratuitously post before and after pics side by side (sorry for the bad quality) to show my watch guys skill. Dials are notoriously hard to clean without damaging them..In my experience however localised rust spots and melted rubber watch seal debris can be fixed...

Well done!
