The photo is brilliant - but the comments and the text are
from individuals either ignorant, or biased (for some reason or another). Some think that watches are just churned out like Swatch, and that is it. What they do not know is the design and testing that has gone into the movement (especially) and the case. The continued production and the problems that using new materials might bring. I always think of it like a Jackson Pollock painting. So many people, when he first started his action painting series (using the drip technique), thought that anyone could do it, that why should such paintings sell for $50000 (at the time)? Because there is something particular about the artist, the composition (even on what seems obvious and almost mundane). Even now, some still do not accept the paintings as art, but others behold them as wonderful.
I have had that watch on my wrist (for a while), and if I could, I would buy it, for all the reasons I described (http://richardmille.watchprosite.com/?show=forumpost&fi=18&pi=3766246&ti=602166&s=0). Others see carbon injected plastic and metal... Others are just plain rude and angry - offensive.

I personally love the watch, but would really like it better if it did not say Nadal on the dial.

say Nadal on the final production version...?
That was the prototype - I was kindly allowed to the
review the watch ahead of release. The production version does say Nadal. There were also improvements in the case material, as well as slight adjustments to the movement between the prototype that I saw and the final production version.

Same old same....
...There is always someone wanting to knock things they dont understand, the self opininated internet hoards will always jump on such things. Point being I should imagine yes all these watches are/will be sold, who exactly is it that is capable of putting a value on such a thing from jsut viewing on the internet. Market forces dictate the worth, and if they are all going to sell then argueably RM could have raised the price.
I get a bit sick of peoples opinons on high value items, to many people spending more than £50 on a watch is utter madness, they simply do not understand the passion of such things. Usually the people that dont understand the 'passion' of classic cars, ultimate watches, quality clothing etc etc are really quite dull & boring people with not a lot to say, well they do have a lot to say, but its usually just moans & gripes.
It would be a lot better world if people who had nothing nice to say didnt bother to say anything at all....

I'm actually watching Nadal play while wearing the RM027 now. It's pretty amazing to think about the speeds at which he's swinging that racket while wearing a mechanical watch. It's unfortunate that the article seems to be so short-sighted, or at least unbalanced. I think there's a lot more substantive discussion that could've been put forth about Nadal's game and Richard Mille's watch; more than just sensationalizing a price tag.
Also, can someone please post a picture of the Rolex "SeaMaster?"
