Horological Meandering

I have finally found time to organise the photos from my recent visit to Singapore and enjoyed reliving the happy memories. Horo kindly brought a dozen PuristS together for a Sunday lunch and what a feast it was; not only in food but in conversation and watches.

Wonderful to meet you all and spend time sharing the horological passion. Some fantastic watches around the table – and thankfully everyone had a watch on each wrist (and Melvyn kept pulling them out of the bag) so there were no limb amputations required!

PuristS lunched at a glamorous Marina Club on Sentosa Island. Delightful food finished off with a couple of great whiskies. My thanks again to everyone who made this day so memorable.

...that THIS time (so it seems), the drinks stayed on the 'lazy Susan' and the watches went nowhere near it!

And what a sight...a flying Urwerk!!!

It was indeed Peter, and it was indeed the Urwerk which became a 'Flieger' - "the first Urwerk in Space". From memory, the Mighty Double Split was at risk as well, making the restaurant a real 'tourist trap'.

All's well here chum: it would be good to catch up, having missed you in Geneva ("Oh yes, he's supposed to be here to collect his O3, but he flitted off to Florence instead"). Different kind of shopping, maybe??? ;-)

That said, on the assumption that the Urwerk suffered no irreparable damage, I can say that it was one of those moments that makes these sorts of gatherings so memorable.
