I'm traveling this weekend.

Let's see another Heuer Chronograph.

I believe that as all that I posted, so far, are from the 40's (1940's).
Did some research this week and I got some info that I plan to post, as soon I return.

Meanwhile, let's enjoy another Heuer, this one with an amazing patina.

Notice the "Casa Masson" on the dial.

During that time, it was a common practice for a major retailer to have a name on the dial.

As much I admire those oldies, I cannot own one.

It will be a great help if anyone here could identify those watches.

have you checked the catalogs available on "Onthedash', the Heuer forum?

I can't help directly with early Heuer's, I'm not really clear if they marked their watches and if they
did what those marks meant.

I can give you some info from a competitor of the time, Breitling. You have to understand that before the end of the Thirties Breitling
didn't often sign their dials or their movements. My guess would be the same for Heuer. They also used third party movements,
although sometimes specifically modified for them, so there is no way of knowing too much about the watch through the movement.
Although you can make some general inferences, for example the twelve hour counter (if memory serves me right) didn't really appear until the
end of the Thirties or the early Forties.

Breitling did start giving model numbers to their watches as early as the 1920's, but these didn't consistently appear on the cases until
the end of the Thirties. I'm not sure when or if Heuer had model numbers on the case of the watch, I would need to check.

If you have found any info on these watches please post them and then we can try and see if their's some clues in the tea leaves.

Either way they are lovely early watches and sure look beautiful.
