Happy New Year to all and many decades of good health and wisdom!
When many are well on their way to SIHH this year, I will be missing it because I have to be at another place.
But one tip!!
Don't miss taking a bus to town, and along the main street of Geneva, it is just behind the big toy shop...a short walk!
It is the wonderful MB&F shop.
And...they have ONE of many beautiful things worth buying.
For me...this RED CAR from Nika ( a most beautiful lady artist, I have not met). The watches from MB&F are something else..but the lamps and the odd and ends I found were ALL without exception, damned wonderful!
And affordable!

And a whole bunch of toys piled on my desk, ...but a surprise from the Foundation of Haute Horology:
A book!!!

One advice, forget the Leica M8 for now..it's a very "acquired" taste for today.
I like it. But like many of my stuff..may not be for everyone.
It is certainly a keeper...and will always remind me of why I collect watches. Philosophy of making things in a world where many man made things are outdated with time. Some things really last, it's the charm, the weight, the physical form. And..the people who made it.
Mechanical things and all.
Happy New Year from a toy collector!
I just saw the news.
Not a watch though!
Bernard
and an excellent companion for a watch collector..for its message of quality and size.
I realise that it is always the camera that one can carry at all times...and into very restrictive dress coded areas!
