Ten year anniversary-Panerai Luminor 1950 3 Days PAM 372

Wearing the watch this weekend 2022

I have had it 10 years and rarely worn

I have the pleasure of presenting a few pictures of this beauty PAM00372. As you can see the watch is hitting the streets running.

Panerai PAM 372. This hand-wound beauty is surly going to please. Large production run 3500 and not a Special Edition ( SE). Big watch with a small box which make it environmentally correct. Housed in the 1950 case, while different than its brother the "Fiddy" PAM 127, it sits proud and comfortably on the wrist. I don't think it is a replacement for the PAM 127 but for those who came to the game late this is your chance at your own historic interpretation with a nice engine under the hood.

The matt black sandwich-style dial offers a solid background to feature the gold hour and minute hands. The same Arabic numerals with an aged patina that glows strong. Large font Luminor Panerai is thick and contrasts slightly with the index markers give it more presence.

Powered by a P.3000 "entry-level" manufacture-made movement makes for nice starting point and it winds up smooth as silk.

Please accept my artistic interpretation. I will try next time and get some on wrist outdoor / natural light pictures.

captues the watch beautifully , very emotive ! Like the way you capture the sandwich dial, displays the watch in all its glory.

That invariably will hurt some wallets, which will also sink in emotively after the money has gone from the bank acct.

Not seen the watch in the flesh, but everyone is raving, so it mus be worth the while. If I have to nitpick, its the way the mvt sits in the case.

You have a valid point with the movement position. I look at more from the industrial look that it has to fit the "tool", ok that's a big word, aspect. I think a solid back would be more historic but I think Panerai is proud of its in-house movement so they want to feature it. The last time they hid a movement it raised eyebrows.

As has previously be noted Panerai listened to what people wanted and came up, i have to admit, a couple of very nice options. The 390 an the entry level non in-house and the the historic options in all its glory with the in-house. I think it is at the entry price for the in-house movement segment. There are two straps and a spare crystal "plexi" provided with the watch.

The best feature is the large run enough for everyone that wants one.

You are absolutely correct. This is an example well executed.

I am still a fiddy fan because I stareed late. The old guarde like you and Nico that had the nose to know this was a killer brand took early risks to support the brand. In some cases you held the course in others unfortunately they let go to early.

My objective is that we have the old guard like you and the newbie like me that can create a new eco system.

What I hate is the people are bitter because they missed this or that. This is a brand you need to commit 20 years to like the stock market no short term profit

You know the guys / collectors like you and Nico +++++ who stay by the brand through all the BS because you like some part of the DNA that you respect. production and politics are a part of the game but OI hope the brand will put the same respect to the true aficionados which I still aspire to and admire with you, Nico, Asi and so many more but I have not had the priviledge to meet.

Regardless whereas it is intentional, this is a great piece. The reduction in size and the 3 days movement, a winner in an instant. That the kind of ideas that does need no secrets, just positioning the product where it is needed and expected.

Back to blushing do not you dare saying all you said partly about me without warning me, I am just a simply one of the watch aficionados, just like you are... But thank you, I like it

This is a perfect execution and with added values, making it too limited would be a waste, if they indeed increased the run the better, this way we will have a chance to see a few around and on wrists. How often to you get to see a PAM 3A? I say too little for such a great piece, this time it gets a lot better and with that 3 days power reserve it makes this watch essential. A Pre-Winner no doubts.

I checked, it was meant to be a millesimed production of 3000 pieces.
