Giles English was in town to launch the most recent addition to the Bremont range, the U2, the only watch flown by the mythical American U2 spy plane squadron. It was held in one of HK's largest watch boutiques.
Here are some quick pics.:
Couldn't help but check out some of the other stuff in the joint.
As you can tell I spent some time at the G. Seiko counter trying on almost every piece.
Thirsty work as you can imagine so I headed back to this

Thanks for looking.

i do have a couple of issues with the Bremont. the first one is the GMT inner track. with the subdial at the top it doesnt show 2100-0200 so is next to useless unless your happy with guess work. the second issue is this...is it really the only watch to be worn in a U2? it may be a watch made to honour the U2 and its pilots, but surely they wore other watches before Bremont made this watch ? perhaps i'm wrong and they flew without watches. if anyone knows the answer please let me know.
thanks again Fernando

WHo knows whether Bremont approached the pilots or the pilots approached Bremont....
As far as I can see the pilots got a nice watch with a logo to have as a souvenir. Bremont got a walty marketing feature and get to boast about testing at 100000 ft....something the Speedmaster sorted out just a few decades or so before...
