most importantly the picture of your new baby's J*D wristshot.
Stay strong Kevin, you made the right choice. J*D will always be unique amongst all the brands.
Best, Mike
the Purists community as a whole and for J*D owners in particular. This is a very sad turn of events.
Thank you for your service to the Forum, Mike.
Best Regards

Whenever a door closes, another one opens.
I think the J*D spirit will continue to live on HoME. I can only see the PuristSPro community growing stronger and stronger each day.
Looking forward to seeing you soon....it is long overdue.
Best, Mike
but I'm glad to stand up for the ideals which make this site unique amongst all other web sites.
Thank you always for your support.
Cheers, Mike
The passion you have shown to others and your willingness to help others understand and appreciate the world of Jaquet Droz is priceless. And btw, you're doing an excellent job as our Montblanc moderator.
I've been visiting the J*D forum for many many years now, and I still remember the NYC J*D PuristS event and still have my and my wife's #8 & #9 white enamel dial plaques from the event.
To the J*D owners and fans, please still keep the J*D spirit alive and continue with your J*D related postings here in HoMe forum.
Best,
Anthony
PS. Here's my J*D Sports Watch for my "send it off" pictures.
Looking forward to seeing the J*D flame shine brightly on HoME where I think the qualities of the brand will actually be seen and appreciated by more eyes that on its own separate forum.
Best, Mike
will be missed but lots of talk will continue I hope.

What it means is since Mike is stepping down as moderator, PPro management was faced with the decision of whether or not we want to keep the J*D forum open. With no moderator and diminishing traffic in the J*D forum, it was a tough choice to make but PPro management decided to close the forum down. The amount of work it will require to keep and sustain the forum with content and to find, teach, and train another moderator is just too much. Furthermore, there are hard dollar costs with keeping any forum open, and it just didn't make sense for PPro to keep the J*D forum open.
Yes; anytime in the future we could close down another brand forum if that brand lost credibility with our community, but this is definitely not the case with Jaquet Droz..

Congrats Larry. You were one of the first to purchase a Paillonnee (if not the first in the USA).
I'll have to second Anthony's thoughts. There is not a loss of credibility to the brand but a lack of traffic to the forum. I shoulder and fully accept the responsiblity in this downward slide but generating new and interesting content daily (which would be required to rejuvenate the forum) is not possible given my changing priorities. At this point there are enough PuristS who own J*D to keep the spirit alive on HoME. I'm proud of that fact
There are other interesting new developments in the world of horology that I would like to focus my limited time to...Montblanc Villeret as an example!
J*D is and will always be my first love.
Congrats again on your new SW.
Best, Mike
But it is glad to hear that you will still be here. You have done a good job.
Regards
Ling

Now that's the spirit, bring it to HoME where many more purists can share in your new watch!
Is it a piece unique?
Cheers, Mike
