Horological Meandering

Last Friday, 8 Sept, 2007, a group of friends came over to Singapore, coincidentally they are Purists too...so arranged for a small get-together.  However, at last minute, managed to contact one Purist from USA and also UK... wow....its now somewhat a 'mini International GTG' !

I will let the pictures do the talking, meanwhile, my other Malaysia  friend ( all of us know him) might upload even more beautiful pictures than mine.  Please do my friend!!

Thanks to Sincere HH Team for making a memorable evening for everyone of us. 

Now for the PART 1 of the GTG :

How can I miss Jackie....from far already spotted his BRO!  Yep, both John & Jackie were checking out the Harbring...
Luckily they meet Wilson, he is very knowledable and  will be able to withstand their technical-question assaults.

Now when, all my friends arrived, the mystery guest - Mr.Patrick Tan (Sincere Watch Academy Principal) appeared to introduce us
the initiatives of SWA.

Really great learners...paying full attention to Patrick Tan.

After the briefing, the staff of SHH served us some nice 'candies'....

Oh...this is AV, our friend from USA, proudly showing us his beautiful FREAK.

Side Views of the Corum Golden Bridge....marvelous piece of art. At least I can see the movement as compare to the
Hour Vision...hmmm.....Corum is pretty advance to implement the sides-see-thru earlier.

After 1.5 hours at SHH, we took a stroll  to the Franck Muller Boutique. 

The heavy huge Franck door  opened....oh.... nice ....various flora scents greeted us..then a smiling face...our  friendly
Winson, the  Boutique Manager showed us the way.  Before we were seated, wow... some cool bubblies were served.

Hey, Jacky, please share your pics too. I didn't take too many as was distracted by the very interesting pieces.

After we were served drinks, Patrick, the Principal gave a short introduction about the concept the FM Boutique, and
how it was different from SHH.

After that, we were released to see Franck's creations.... & of course masterpieces.

The Master Banker, very classic piece, clear dial layout and projects a "No nonsense" aura...after wearing it on...
indeed that should be the soul of professionals who handle others' monies. 



Now for a less serious note...Franck Muller could be a very fun guy....




These two pieces are the "Take Your Time".

Note the retrograde hours between 12 & 2 'o clock... really gives the
feeling that you can stretch time for pleasurable events...like a long
lunch ...hmm... what else if it is near to midnight??







"Day & Night" , apology for the poor photography skill...not even anti-shake works.....

Three hands are aligned in a single column.
One retrograde to indicate the Day and another for Night. The hand in the middle of these
Day & Night hands is the minute hand.  Pretty good twist.








Ohhh...another fun piece...




This unique piece is a combination of 2 serious 'complications' :
'CRAZY Date'  + 'CRAZY Hour'=  TOTALLY   !!

Totally unpredictable.  No ORDER !

Hey, I lost one photo....there is one "Selfish Watch" ....oops...it is 'Secret Time' which points at 12' o Clock at all time....
till you press a button to reveal the real Time.

while I called my friends to gather around for a surprise.

This was the decoy...another very interesting piece... this could be in family of  "Black Shine" and its a tourbillon...

Black diamonds on blackened gold case and dial!





Even the buckle is set with black diamonds.






Now for the surprised piece ...one of the ultimate piece of  Franck Muller's creations -  "The EVOLUTION  3-1"
