Mechanical wrist alarms—what a poetic start to collecting. There’s a quiet nobility to these pieces. Before complications became status symbols, the alarm had purpose. It served. And Oris, especially in this reference from the early ’90s, struck a beautiful balance between utility and elegance. The 420 7387 is one of those under appreciated gems that wears its age with grace.
NOS? Even better. A time capsule from an era just before the mechanical renaissance took full flight. In many ways, these pieces remind us why we fell in love with watches in the first place. Thanks for sharing. Brought a smile.

I still remember my studies in Switzerland and frequent window shopping for watches - there was a Fortis dealer that always proudly displayed their alarm pieces, which I felt were truly exciting back in the day 😊
