Definitely a must visit when in Prague! And I need to get myself to Prague. Such a short drive from Dresden, yet, I've never made the trek. Here below is another Czech clock! Dalibor Farny!
Like a fairy tale City. I was there some time ago and unfortunately the clock tower was being worked on. It did still work. You should go back and spend a few days.
and in the early morning a lovely time to look. Sorry u did not get the full experience, I hope, like me you will be back. Hereโs another lovely morning view of another iconic part of the city
Czech women are famous for their beauty and one, who'd been a professional guide, took me on a 'backstairs' tour of the city, including inside the Astronomical Clock. Lucky me - she, the city and it were wonderful.
Stayed once there autumn several years ago. Ate at the roof-top restaurant almost opposite the clock (fifth floor?) in glorious sunshine. Wonderful views.
One trick with Prague, like most cities, is to stay away from the 'touristy' bits during the day. Indeed, many, like the Charles Bridge for instance, are best visited in the peace & quiet of the night.
