A Different Time When...
Roger was always the cautious one ....
Roger lost many friends during his career to drugs of various types. He was the the least affected one and tried to focus the others on the band.
Roger used to own a house walking distance . . .
. . . from my favorite English pub in the San Fernando Valley, where I saw him twice. This was many years ago, when he still had longish hair.
Tony Kaye also hung out at that pub, as well as Cy (John Entwistle's manager). Cy and John were regulars at the Rainbow Bar and Grill in Hollywood, my 'home away from home'; Cy had a managing stint there for a spell after Entwistle's death. I've seen Tony at the English pub in the Valley, but not Cy, which is a bit surprising as he lives in the neighborhood.
