MB&F launch schedule for 2014
[...] We’re doing four launches this year. In February, we’re going to come out with a “Performance Art” piece. Performance Art is is when I give one of my pieces to somebody, a creator, I admire, and they change it. This year, we’re completely insane: We normally come out with one fully new movement every year. Because our revenue’s been growing a little bit every year, and we reinvest 100%, next year we’re coming out with two new calibers. So there’ll be one unveiled in May and one unveiled in October, the HM6, which will be the wildest MB&F ever. Or for the moment, because there will be wilder after. And then we’ve got a small launch in November. It’s a very rich and intense year for us, though every year is intense [...]

Performance art...
When I think "Performance art" I think of Pagani cars.
If asked what kind of watch most closely resembles Pagani... Or what brand Pagani should consider forming a strategic partnership with. It's MB&F.
Looking forward to the upcoming performance art piece. Which one did you like the most from the past?
Was the first one the Alain Silberstein version of the HM2?

Hey Patrick,
Well, I never was that much impressed by the Perf. Art pieces I saw, but I'm not really able to remember what they all were.
The Sarpaneva moon disk on the HM3 is an interesting addition but it wasn't a revolution.
The "out of stock" watch I liked was the diamond panda riding the HM4. This one was really nice and poetic.
I'm must say I'm more into regular MB&Fs as they are already Perf. art in a way...

MB&F is already performance art.
Max Busser was telling us about the story and inspiration behind the panda at IGOTT 2. It is indeed very poetic and the inspiration Max said literally came from a dream.
