Love the subtle orange Luminova. Perhaps it was inspired by a similar chronograph owned by a member here? ;-)

Many thanks SJX

"this watch is more significant than an individually customised watch.  More important because it is a customised watch for 2 friends.  It is a mark of respect and friendship. This will not be forgotten."

Would I ever have thought of this happening a couple of years ago?

One day I might even remember to clean my watches before photographing them. My thanks to the inventors of dust removing software.

Richard.

Beautiful! [nt]

Congratulations Richard, the founder of the AD HOC smile

The Doppel 2.0 is certainly one of Maria and RIchard's most desirable creations, it's a great choice for a second Habring2. The burgundy dial is breathtaking and I love your photos!

Also, congrats to Owner 1 of 2 smile

Thanks Sidney

and with a very nice, personal history. Thank you sharing it with us.
As a privileged owner of customized 'Foudroyante' I second everything you have written about Richard and Maria Habring.
Habring2s are fantastic watches, that come with fantastic service and at a relatively moderate price.
My wife wears her Time-only 36mm and I wear my Foudroyante 42mm as a daily beater. As all Habrings these are very strong and reliable watches, so they are perfect for the job.
I have read somewhere a comment about the risk of getting tired of the foudroyante...believe me all, it put a smile on my face every time I look at it.

These are great watches for daily wear.  Glad you're enjoying yours as well.

Thanks for the comments.

Nice story Richard, you now need to make the

trek to Austria and see the magical atelier where your watches are crafted. I still don't know how they get any work done with that view!

Enjoy your beauties,

Best to all,
Tim

Tim, thanks and that's a very good idea

 By: RJW : October 1st, 2012-17:46
Obviously you're speaking from experience.  I certainly hope to visit there one day.

Regards,
Richard.

Hi Richard, the Atelier is a dream. A sweeping view

Good travels,
Tim

Splendid, Richard!

Great watch, great story, great friendships!  And the photos are fantastic as well.

I am enjoying my Doppel a lot as well, and hope that yours brings you a great deal of pleasure. I know the original burgundy dial quite well -- in fact, there is an intersection of that Chrono, our friend #1, and myself that is absolute in nature -- so I feel a tiny part of your adventure as well!

All the best, as always,

Gary

Thanks on all accounts Gary

 By: RJW : October 1st, 2012-17:49
And you most certainly were a part of the adventure.  Your photos were my reference during the whole process.

Regards,
Richard.

congrats, Richard! and I'm sure...

the Purist owner of that first Habring chocolate brown dialled chrono is proud to read this story...

smile

I have to agree, Habring dials are a thing to behold. they show a depth and richness of color seldom seen elsewhere.

TM

Proud? And so he should be.

How did I miss this!!! I am ashamed to moderate this august forum...without congrats to u!

Huge congrats.

I am surprised that the burgundy red dial is no longer in production. Thought I saw a recent prototype in that colored dial...maybe I am dreaming.

Do write about your thoughts on this piece a month or so into owning this magnificent piece.

Best,

Horo

Thanks very much Horo

The burgundy dial is a wonderful lustrous colour.  And it works well with the colour of the indices.

Regards,
Richard.

Congrats, Richard!
