your writing is even better! I like your writing style, very concise and one that I can understand very well (some of the people that write here 'intimidate' me with the depth of their writing)
I like the triple retro and have been trying get one in Asia, but haven't been succesful. The closes I get to Nienaber watches was in Japan, but no triple retro.
First the car, now this watch. Wow, you have a full and 'busy' life. Enjoy!

Marcus (and Herr Nienaber),
Thank you for the report.
Long ago, I remember reading a list of AHCI members and indeed it was at the transition when a clockmaker started making wristwatches.
I agree that the character of the watch changes with the case that surrounds the movement. The practical steel ones that have to be used up somehow hamper the aesthetics with their "big ears" on either side of the crown.
The case in point (sic) is that Herr Nienaber is capable of making a beautiful gold case, albeit for a few marca more. That is simply beautiful...............
Regards, MTF
I have the first Retrolator that arrived in the US. I have owned it since January of 05. I had the same problem that was mentioned in the excellent review. Mr. Nienabar fixed the problem and the watch has run perfectly ever since.
My Retrolator receives more complements than any of my other watches and is one of my most elegant .
The case of the gold version looks mighty impressive, unfortunately so does its price.
