I wonder if there is a market
I mean of all watches dive watches live the hardest life when used as intended. We do have multiple examples on this forum of high end blancpain used by hardcore divers but would independent owners be willing to sacrifice future resale value in the current environment of ever increasing prices, I'm not sure. A few owners would, maybe!

The world is getting casual. A watch with decent WR of 100m is a must IMO, not for diving, but for the confidence of casual wearing,
Many great watches from great watchmakers just turn me off for the lack of "rigidity" for daily wear.

Nice but I dare Kari to make a Diving Watch Start to Finish and to put a unique spin on it or Akriva or Any of the Top Independents, its a Challenge and could be a fun one.

But based on what I've seen if you asked Roger Smith or Philippe Dufour for a diving watch they'd both give you the same answer: "Buy a Submariner."

Lange Sports Watch? They swore they'd never make one. Then they made it. And while it sold really really well, I can't say I liked it that much. I'm sure the Lange Odysseus is a fantastic watch and my friend Mike wears it so well (everything looks good on my buddy Mike) - it just doesn't resonate with me! So, taking that and applying it to the Dufour Diving watch, it's probably not for me. Now I'm going to have nightmares... Dufour diving watch... That's definitely out of the box thinking there!

tbh, the G65 is not needed as well. i am a great fan of the "geländdeeewagen" and the perfect one is for me the G500!
